Poisoned Pasts: legacies of SA's chemical and biological warfare programme

This event launches an exhibition that encourages revised perspectives about South Africa's history.

Join the ISS and the Nelson Mandela Foundation for the launch of an extraordinary exhibition that tells the story of Project Coast – apartheid South Africa’s secret chemical and biological warfare programme.

Poisoned Pasts puts visitors in the position of the investigator, encouraging new ideas, critical thinking and revised perspectives on South Africa’s history.

Journalists are invited to view the exhibition during the two days before the launch.
