Exploring the relationship between civil society and the Constitution in SA

Exploring the shifting relationship between civil society and the Constitution in democratic South Africa

Co-hosted by the Institute for Security Studies and South African History Archives (SAHA).

How has civil society engaged with the Constitution to contribute towards building a democratic South Africa? A recent report by Dr Dale McKinley, which includes over 30 hours of interviews, seeks to answer this question.

This seminar will outline the findings of the research on the trajectory of the civil society landscape and will examine what the future might look like for civil society organisations as they take on new struggles in 2015 and beyond.
